Automotive-Grade High-Side Intelligent Power Switch TPS1HTC30AQPWPRQ1 with 60-V, 6-A and Comprehensive Protection Mechanisms

1. Core Functions

1. High-Side Power Switching

Acts as a high-side switch to control the on/off state of automotive electrical loads, supporting both DC and pulse-width modulation (PWM) load control with low on-resistance for minimal power loss.
2. Comprehensive Protection Mechanisms
   • Overcurrent Protection (OCP): Automatically limits output current or shuts down the device when the load current exceeds the threshold, preventing damage from short circuits.
   • Overtemperature Protection (OTP): Triggers thermal shutdown when the junction temperature exceeds the safe limit, with automatic recovery after cooling.
   • Overvoltage Protection (OVP): Clamps the input voltage to avoid damage from transient voltage spikes (e.g., load dump in automotive systems).
   • Reverse Polarity Protection: Blocks current flow when the power supply is reversed, safeguarding the device and connected loads.
3. Diagnostic & Feedback Features

Provides a diagnostic output pin to transmit fault status (e.g., overcurrent, overtemperature) to the host MCU, enabling real-time system monitoring and fault handling.
4. Automotive-Grade Robustness

Operates over a wide temperature range (-40°C to +125°C) and withstands automotive electrical transients (ISO 7637 compliance), ensuring stable performance in harsh conditions.

2. Typical Applications

1. Automotive Body Electronics
   • Control of exterior lighting (headlights, taillights, turn signals) and interior lighting (dome lights, reading lights).
   • Power management for door locks, window regulators, and seat adjustment systems.
   • Control of windshield wipers and washers.
2. Automotive Powertrain & Chassis Systems
   • Switching for fuel injectors and ignition coil drivers (low-power auxiliary circuits).
   • Control of cooling fans and coolant pumps in engine thermal management systems.
   • Power distribution for ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and ESC (Electronic Stability Control) auxiliary components.
3. Industrial & Commercial Vehicle Systems
   • Power switching for commercial vehicle auxiliary equipment (air compressors, refrigeration units).
   • Control of industrial automation actuators and solenoid valves in harsh environments.
